POP Music

Pop music is the genre of popular music that produces the most hits. A hit is a song that sells many copies and the latest hits are listed every week on the charts. To get on the charts a song must be released as a single although most songs are released on an album. Songs that become hits almost always share the certain features that are called the pop music cheek list. They have a good rhythm a catchy melody and are easy to memorise and sing along too. They usually have a chorus that’s repeated several times or certain verses are repeated. Most pop songs are two and five minutes long. Lyrics are usually about the joys and problems of love and relationships. They are mostly produced by groups. I have chosen to do pop music for my magazine as I listen to a lot of pop music and they are popular. They are the songs that go worldwide and everyone would hear it and they would be playing on the radios.
